In the heart of Sevierville’s Downtown Historic District and in a building home to Sevierville’s unforgettable entertainment roots, The Pines re-opens its doors for more history to be made. An atmosphere of gaming, lounging, and competition, you, your friends, and family can enjoy indulging in great fun, food, beverages, conversation, and overall entertainment.
On September 18th, Sevier County was established and named after Governor John Sevier, the first Governor of Tennessee.
Duckpin Bowling is credited to being invented by future baseball Hall of Famers John McGraw & Wilbert Robinson at their Baltimore bowling and billiards bar.
Sevier County Courthouse is built.
On September 2nd, President Franklin D. Roosevelt dedicated The Great Smoky Mountains National Park - later becoming the nation’s most visited National Park. Late President Roosevelt often stayed in Historic Downtown Sevierville during his trips to the area.
The Pines Theater opened its doors becoming Sevierville’s home for entertainment. It seated roughly 700 people.

The Pines Theater is born in Dollywood Amusement Park’s Jukebox Junction.
Former Pines Theater performer and native Sevier Countian Dolly Parton is inducted into Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame.
